Monday Pasta Nights at Pazza Luna Trattoria

Did you hear about Pasta Night at Pazza Luna Trattoria?  Well, every Monday evening from 5:30pm and on, they are offering each table 3 bowls of pastas with house made sauces (vegetarian, meat and seafood) and a salad bowl.  This is just $15 for adults and $8 for children (12 years or younger).  They also offer a good selection of wines for $20/bottle.  Oh and the best part?  Free refills on the pasta and salad :) But of course, if you want something extra, they are offering an appetizer menu to choose a la carte.

YUM!

Have you ever been to Pazza Luna?  I’ve heard really yummy things about their food.  I have to make it down sometime!

I tried this on Monday. We (7 hungry ladies) were sat at a large wood table near the kitchen that had a very rustic feeling. Warm bread and a olive oil with kalamata olive puree were served. A few agreed the bread/oil was the highlight of meal and be requested multiple bread refills. The salad was fine, but nothing to write home about. The pastas of the night were a rigatoni bolognese, a clam and mussel spaghetti with garlic and olive oil, and a ziti with eggplant and mushrooms in a light marinara. Someone in my party thought the veggie option was way too plain and needed garlic. I tried all three and enjoyed the meaty one the best. Good attentive service throughout, but there was some drama in paying the check. 18% wasn't added on automatically, but once we handed over 5 credit cards (split unevenly as some had wine and dessert) she suddenly had to add 18%. When we handed back the signed receipts and cash, and gathered our things to leave, we were told we didn't pay enough. A few minutes of confusion followed, which each member of my party saying they tipped extra. The waitress had someone else add it up and soon apologized for a mistake on their part. Not a good way to leave a restaurant. Overall I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, but wasn't blown away. I passed on the $7 (yummy sounding) dessert options and instead stopped at Vacarro's on the way home ($2 large cannoli for carryout on Monday.)

Ashley - Thank you so much for the review! That seems a little strange about the check, I am glad it was able to be sorted out!
