Current Food Obsessions

JULIE'S SORBET AND CREAM
I found this at Wegmans and now I want to buy stock in this stuff.  The Mandarin sorbet is the perfect combination of sweet and tangy, and then mix that with the swirls of wonderfully luxurious vanilla ice cream?  OMGGGGGGGGGGGG.  Seriously, I am so in love with this I can't wait to try all the other flavors.  I LOVE mixing sorbets and ice creams, in fact I do that when I go to Pitango Gelato and when I go to Rita's I always like to get an Italian Ice with Custard.  So basically, this is a match made in my personal heaven.

BUTTER

Ever since I got my bread maker, I've been loving breakfasts of toast, butter and jam.  However, I decided recently that the sticks of butter I buy for baking just wasn't cutting it for my morning toast with tea.  It was time for the real deal.  I bought a tub of Mendon Creamery Butter (slightly salted) from Wegmans and it's yummy.  It's perfect for my toast, since I want the butter to be subtle and not overpower my delicious jam, and I prefer to use salted butter to balance out its sweetness.  I have also taken to use butter on my sandwiches instead of mayo or mustard.  I love butter SO MUCH.  Why did I forget about this?  In England we used to have bread and butter sandwiches and they were delightful!

Basically, ask me in about a month if my pants still fit.

Funny last comment there! Your finds look delicious. Can't wait until they open the Wegman's in Columbia - it's right by my work!

Kerry's Irish Gold. That's the butter I'm addicted to.

Allthingsjuice - I am so excited for you! If I worked right in Hunt Valley, I would literally go there everyday for lunch. In fact, Kevin - didn't you used to do that? Also, I've heard Kerry's Butter is amazing. I was almost about to buy it when I saw the Mendon Creamery and decided to go for that instead.

Yes, I am a recovering Wegman's addict. The withdrawal has been most painful.
